From May 15–19, 2026, the Synaptiq team headed to Stockholm for the ESTRO 2026 Congress – Europe’s biggest gathering of radiation oncology professionals, and one of the most important dates on our calendar. Five days of conversations, demos, and exchanges with the people shaping the future of the field.
Article Summary
Why ESTRO Matters?
The European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) is a non-profit organization founded in 1980, dedicated to advancing radiotherapy and oncology through education, research, and professional collaboration. Its annual congress is now a landmark event in the field, drawing thousands of experts from across Europe and beyond. ESTRO 2026 was Synaptiq’s fifth consecutive participation – and a chance to share how our technology is evolving alongside the clinicians and researchers driving cancer care forward.
GTV Contouring Goes 4D
At our booth, we presented the newest capability of Active Intelligence, the GTV contouring feature of our Mediq RT platform: full support for 4DCT. As before, clinicians delineate a single slice of the GTV and the AI completes the rest within seconds – only now across every phase of the breathing cycle. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many attendees highlighting the tool’s potential to bring real efficiency and accuracy gains to motion-aware treatment planning.

From Demo to Hands-On
We’re firm believers that the best way to evaluate a contouring tool is to use it, so we set up on-the-spot demo accounts for visitors who wanted to go beyond a walkthrough. Clinicians could try Active Intelligence on real cases right at the booth – which sparked some of our most valuable conversations of the week.
Expanding Reach – Expanding Impact
ESTRO 2026 was also where many of our future collaborations began. We met with potential distributors and partners from multiple regions, and the conversations laid the groundwork for partnerships that will help us bring our solutions to more healthcare providers – and ultimately, more patients.

Looking Ahead
Every year, ESTRO leaves us a little more motivated than when we arrived, and ESTRO 2026 was no exception. The conversations at our booth, the feedback from clinicians, and the new partnerships taking shape all point in the same direction: better tools, better workflows, and ultimately better care for patients. We can’t wait to see where the next year takes us – and to be back in 2027.
